At a recent meeting attended by hotel, tour operator and travel agency representatives, the committee, headed by HE Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager, Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), asserted that the total revenue for the hotel and hotel apartments in Ajman rose by 14% in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the corresponding period in 2014.At the same time, Director of Tourism Development and Marketing, ATDD, Khulood Khaled Al Nuami shed light on the hotel industry statistics which showed a rise of 40% in the number of guest nights.During Q2, Ajman had a total of 3,420 rooms and units, which is an increase of 14.5%. The emirate’s top five markets during this period were the UAE, followed by the GCC, Asian and African countries, other Arab countries and Russia.
